In any working environment spirited individuals make a difference.

Their input can shape the DNA of an agency and live on after they’re gone. In Irish International we remember three former colleagues.

Angeline Meehan, who gave our visitors and staff an equally warm reception before her early death, is remembered in an annual staff golf day.

Paddy Harte, erudite bastion of print production in Irish International for over 40 years (and a man fond of a quotation) is celebrated in the Harte Room.

John Tierney, a cheerful and positive account handler who was tragically killed in his twenties, lends his name to our annual Good Humour award. The trophy has had 12 holders since John died in 1997 and serves as a reminder that fun is both important and contagious.
